The College Campus

Regional Engineering College, Durgapur is a fully residential college. There are five hostels for boys and one hostel for girls to accommodate all the admitted students. Construction of a new hostel for foreign students and another girls hostel is in progress. A canteen for the students and the staff is located near the main building of the college.

All the teachers and most of the staff members reside in the residential quarters provided by the college. A modern guest house besides the Principal's bungalow extends hospitality to the college's guests. In the middle of the residential area there is a shopping complex which meets the requirements of the residents.

A REC Model co-educational higher secondary school is setup for the wards of the employees of the college. There is also a branch of State Bank of India and a Post-office within the college campus.

Healthcare

There is Medical unit-cum-Hospital with arrangement for both indoor and outdoor treatment of the patients. The medical unit is served by two resident doctors and other medical staff round the clock. The students and the staff with their family are benefited by the services of medical unit. For any specialised treatment the patients are referred to the State Govt. Hospital situated at the other end of the city.
